The Garden at the White House
Michelle Obama planted the garden in 2009 on the South Lawn of the White House. It is the first vegetable garden planted at the White House grounds since Eleanor Roosevelt. The garden serves as inspiration for Obama's Let's Move! campaign to fight childhood obesity. The accompanying book has ideas on how to start school gardens, how to get children to like eating healthier foods, and encouraging children to exercise.
Add author to Michelle Obama's resume. Here's a link to her book about the garden she put in at the White House.
